SOHO ACUPUNCTURE BY JEN BECKER

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture NYC

The glow that comes from within.

I have always believed that true radiance is not something you add to the skin. It is something that emerges when the body is balanced, nourished, and at ease. Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is one of my favorite treatments to offer because the results go so much deeper than the surface. When we address what is happening internally — stress, hormones, circulation, sleep, digestion — the face reflects that shift. The glow you see is real, because it comes from within. It is a whole-body healing experience that also happens to be deeply beautifying.

What Is Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture?

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is an ancient practice rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine that uses ultra-fine needles placed at strategic points on the face and body to stimulate collagen production, improve circulation, and restore energetic balance. Facial acupuncture works with your body’s own natural healing intelligence, encouraging regeneration from the inside out.

Every treatment begins with the whole body. We always address underlying imbalances first — the organ systems, the nervous system, the flow of Qi and Blood — because these are the root of how your skin looks and feels. A face that is dull, puffy, or tense is reflecting something happening deeper. When we treat the root, the face naturally follows.

What It Addresses

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture can help with a wide range of concerns, including:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles, particularly around the eyes, forehead, and mouth
  • Loss of firmness and skin laxity
  • Dullness and uneven skin tone
  • Puffiness and fluid retention in the face
  • Under-eye circles and puffiness
  • Jaw tension, TMJ, and stress held in the face
  • Rosacea, redness, and chronic inflammation
  • Acne and hormonal breakouts
  • Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation
  • Dry, dehydrated, or depleted skin
  • Overall radiance and vitality

Because we always treat the whole body alongside the face, patients frequently report improvements in sleep, stress levels, digestion, hormonal balance, and energy as part of their facial acupuncture journey.

Treatment Packages

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture works best as a series. After your first session you may notice some subtle shifts — a natural glow and a deep sense of relaxation and ease. These early signs are your body beginning to respond. The most lasting and transformative changes come with consistency, as each session builds on the last, progressively improving collagen production, circulation, muscle tone, and skin quality over time.

The ideal treatment plan varies depending on your age, overall health, and skin concerns. For most patients a series of 12 weekly sessions is the gold standard starting point, followed by monthly maintenance to sustain and deepen your results. For some, beginning with a series of 6 sessions is a wonderful place to start. Your practitioner will discuss the right plan for you at your visit.

What to Expect During Your Session

Your session begins with a brief consultation to discuss your current health, skin goals, and any areas of focus, including tongue and pulse diagnosis to assess your overall constitution. We then move into a full-body acupuncture treatment on a heated table, addressing the underlying systems that influence your skin’s health and appearance.

After the body treatment, we transition to the facial acupuncture portion. Ultra-fine, single-use sterile needles are placed at specific points on the face, scalp, and neck. Most patients find this part deeply relaxing, and many even fall asleep.

Depending on the treatment you’ve chosen, your session may also include LED light therapy, facial gua sha, facial cupping, and Aculift skincare application. Each modality is selected based on your individual needs and treatment goals.

After your session, you may notice an immediate glow and a sense of deep relaxation. Some patients experience mild, temporary redness at needle sites, which fades quickly. Over the following days, skin continues to improve as collagen production and circulation increase.

Before Your Session

Eat a light snack about an hour prior, avoid heavy meals and caffeine immediately before, and do not scrape your tongue on the day of your appointment — this helps with accurate tongue assessment.

After Your Session

Drink plenty of water, avoid alcohol and heavy foods, and give yourself time to rest and integrate. Your body continues to process the treatment for 24 to 48 hours afterward.

What Makes Facial Acupuncture Different

Facial acupuncture offers a natural approach to rejuvenation, working with your body’s own intelligence to stimulate collagen and elastin production from within. Results develop gradually with each session, while simultaneously supporting your overall health and wellbeing.

Here is what makes facial acupuncture distinct:

No downtime. You can return to your day immediately after treatment.

Stimulates your own collagen and elastin. Your body is encouraged to create new collagen and elastin naturally, restoring firmness and radiance from within.

Treats the whole body, not just the surface. Stress, hormones, digestion, and sleep all show up in the face. Facial acupuncture addresses these root causes.

Safe to combine with injectables. Facial acupuncture can be received three weeks after Botox and four weeks after dermal fillers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does facial acupuncture hurt?

Facial acupuncture uses high quality, ultra-fine Japanese needles specifically designed for facial acupuncture and formulated to be pain free. They are much thinner than those used on the body, and most patients report little to no discomfort. The overall experience is deeply relaxing and many patients fall asleep during treatment.

After your first session you may notice some subtle shifts — a natural glow to the skin and a deep sense of relaxation and ease. For lasting changes in skin texture, firmness, and fine lines, results are cumulative and each session builds on the last.

The ideal treatment plan varies depending on your age, overall health, and skin concerns. There is no significant downtime. You may have mild, temporary redness at needle sites that fades within an hour or two. Some patients experience minor bruising at a needle site, which is rare but possible. You can return to your normal activities immediately after treatment.

Yes. Facial acupuncture complements many other skincare approaches. However, you should wait three weeks after Botox and four weeks after dermal fillers before receiving facial acupuncture. Always inform your practitioner of any cosmetic treatments you’ve had.

Facial acupuncture is suitable for most adults seeking a natural, holistic approach to skin health and aging. It is particularly beneficial for those who want to avoid or complement injectables and more invasive procedures. We do not treat anyone under 18. If you are pregnant, have a bleeding disorder, or have specific medical concerns, please discuss these with us before booking.

Are You a New Patient?

To ensure the best experience and optimal results from your acupuncture session, it’s important to come prepared. Aim to have a light snack about an hour before your appointment—avoid heavy meals, but don’t arrive on an empty stomach. Please refrain from consuming caffeine just before your session to allow your body to fully relax and benefit from deep, healing rest. Finally, skip tongue scraping on the day of your session to ensure an accurate assessment. By following these simple guidelines, you’ll set yourself up for a deeply restorative and effective treatment.
