JEN BECKER, Licensed Acupuncturist / Herbalist

Jen Becker, L.Ac MSTOM, is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist and the founder and owner of Soho Acupuncture By Jen Becker. Jen is a compassionate and highly skilled licensed acupuncturist and herbalist who is dedicated to guiding her clients on a transformative journey towards optimal health and well-being. Her journey into holistic health began during her undergraduate studies in Kinesiology at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she became captivated by the intricate workings of the human body and sought to explore wellness beyond Western medicine. This led her to pursue a Master’s degree in Chinese Medicine, where she discovered the profound healing abilities of Chinese medicine in addressing root causes and restoring balance and harmony to people’s lives.

Continuing her quest for excellence, Jen sought further training in five-element acupuncture and pulse diagnosis in a two-year post-graduate clinical integration mentorship. After graduating with her Masters degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine from the Pacific College of Health and Science, she honed her healing skills at a fast-paced community acupuncture clinic in Brooklyn, providing care to a diverse range of patients as well as building her private practice in the vibrant neighborhood of Soho, known as Soho Acupuncture by Jen Becker. Guiding others on their healing journey is Jen’s true calling, and she feels grateful to practice Chinese medicine—a discipline that encompasses ancient wisdom, a beautiful philosophy, and a profound integration of nature’s rhythm with the human body

Drawing from her own experiences as a mother to a toddler, she intimately understands the challenges and unique needs women face throughout their journey into motherhood. With a special focus on women’s health, Jen is driven by her passion to support her clients and gently guide them towards finding balance and vitality in this transformative journey. Jen treats a wide array of health conditions, with a particular emphasis on addressing emotional conditions such as stress, anxiety, depression, sleep conditions, and digestive conditions. She skillfully combines acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and Chinese nutritional principles to provide a comprehensive and integrative approach to wellness.

During her free time, Jen seeks solace and rejuvenation in the serene embrace of the Catskill Mountains, cherishing precious moments spent with her family. She continuously seeks opportunities to expand her knowledge and skills in advanced Chinese medicine, currently engaging in a 14-month master class in Classical Chinese Herbal Medicine led by renowned expert Dr. Heiner Fruehauf. This dedication to ongoing learning allows Jen to stay at the forefront of her field and creatively address complex modern conditions while remaining grounded in timeless natural laws. Jen’s warm and compassionate nature, combined with her expertise as a great listener and healer, make her a trusted guide on the path to health and well-being.

ARLEN MCCLELLAN, Licensed Acupuncturist / Herbalist

Arlen McClellan L.Ac D.T.C.M graduated summa cum laude with a Doctorate of Traditional Chinese Medicine from the University of Bridgeport Acupuncture Institute in Connecticut. After finishing school and receiving her acupuncture license, Arlen trained under a fertility specialist in West Hartford, CT, where she absorbed as much knowledge as she could while also continuing to train within the sports medicine community, treating professional athletes and dancers.

Arlen now lives and works in NYC, where her work focuses on women’s health, hormone imbalances, supporting women coming off hormonal contraceptives, sleep disturbances, anxiety and sports medicine. Arlen works one-on-one with patients to create a collaborative wellness and treatment plan. She is passionate about imparting her vast knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture and holistic medicine to her patients, but she is equally passionate about allowing her patients to experience true listening as a path to healing.

Healing is literally in Arlen’s blood, as her family instilled a high regard for both physical and mental/spiritual health. Childhood memories include herb foraging walks with her family and hanging out at body movement workshops, as well as observing her mother practice acupressure and work with Chinese herbs. However, Arlen also dedicated several years to the study of microbiology and pre-med. It is this grounding in a mix of Eastern and Western techniques that gives Arlen a unique perspective and ability to “translate” between Western medicine and holistic and Eastern modalities. Arlen often helps her patients communicate with primary care physicians if needed.

When Arlen isn’t helping her patients grow into their healthiest selves, she’s growing plants. She also brews batches of kombucha in her downtime, hikes with her partner, forages for mushrooms and connects with other wellness leaders across the country on panels, retreats and media events.
